I'm bias towards the Sacred Journey Journal. http://www.sacredjourney.com/
However I use it in combination with a regular planner and a sketchbook. So I seem to have 3 books going at once. I have yet to find my ideal pen.

Im not sure how I'm limiting myself. There are days that I just let go and write whatever comes to mind, while there are days where I have everything planned out. Though, I prefer planned out days because I know I'm heading in the right direction.

"What I do know for sure is that the act of writing takes us to a place only the pen can access."

You hit the bull's eye on this one, Sam. This "writing space" is why I keep writing. Well, that, and the voice in my head insists that I write. You know, the one that's narrating a story right now, and drowns out all other rational thought, to the point where I have to write down every word (perfectly--but that's another rant for another time).

Thanks for writing this reminder for me! It is a dreary day out here in Banff and after two days of hiking I really feel like hunkering down and finishing off some pieces I\’ve been working on. I really enjoyed Jonah Lehrer\’s book and appreciated how it demonstrated the power of creativity and the fact that, in some cases, we can actually create circumstances that are more conducive to being creative. I, too, work really well in coffee shops and, as Lehrer mentions in his book, have a lot of \’aha\’ moments in the shower. As writers I think it\’s all about being aware of these opportunities so that we can reach our full potential.

On a different note, isn’t it ”fare too well”?

Keep up the amazing writing! So excited to see you flourishing.
